Mission

The Biometrics Alliance seeks to bring together the best in industry, academia, and government for the purpose of developing and applying biometrics technology, products, and systems to identity management and security systems. The Biometrics Alliance activities include:

Discerning and analyzing user needs to help guide the development and application of standards and technology
Integrating and applying biometrics technologies, products, and systems to meet the identity management and security needs of users
Advancing the state of the art in biometrics through research and development to address users’ future needs
Define, develop, and apply metrics and quality standards to clearly characterize system performance and articulate product capability
Establishing and advocating biometrics standards and ontologies to enhance interoperability
